Château du Breuil produces calvados from the highly regarded French 'AOC Pays d’Auge' appellation. Unlike Calvados "AOC", Calvados with the AOC "Pays d'Auge" requires cider apples produced in the Pays d'Auge area and a double distillation. It makes a finer Calvados, due to the quality of apples produced by the local soil, and to the elimination of the roughest parts of the alcohol during the distillations. The Château du Breuil makes AOC Pays d'Auge Calvados only.
Liqueur au Calvados is a blend of calvados and concentrated apple juices, together with sugar and natural apple aromas. Refreshing fruitiness from the apple juice is balanced with character and body from the calvados and sweetness from the sugar.
A light and attractive liqueur. Ideally drunk chilled or over ice, and fast becoming a respected cocktail ingredient.
