I have many years of experience working and studying in Retail, as well as the Hotel and Catering industries.
In 2006 I enrolled to study for the WSET Intermediate qualification to learn more about the intriguing wine world.
Since then I have been working in the wine retail industry for the last five years (previously with Oddbins and now with Amathus) and also passed the WSET Advanced course.
I like to discover and sell wines from everywhere in the world, and I am looking forward to taste the new wines we are going to stock from India. In my spare time I enjoy cooking matching and drinking wine and time and weather permitting sailing.

Born into a family of butchers, I found myself taking the family business on to its fifth generation of trading, but not before I had a thorough grounding in all things meat based. Apprenticing throughout England I progressed as charcutier in Alsace, traiteur in Paris and after a period helping run the family business, chef in Barcelona. After nearly 20 years in the food industry I decided to move into wine, where, working in some of London’s finest wine shops I find myself continuing the theme here at Amathus.
I have a love of all wine, but, for better or worse I remain a Francophile at heart, seeking out especially the wines of Alsace, Burgundy, the Rhone and the southwest and Roussillon. My other passion is painting. I study art history when I can, while I juggle family life, work and supporting Peterborough United Football Club.

Leadenhall: Enomatic Wine List

White Wine

Red Wine

Woodstock Chardonnay 2013Subtle oak notes, fresh apple zing, tropical fruits, stone fruits, lemon peel and mineral finish.

Amastuola Centosassi 2011: Ruby red, deep and bright Aroma: fruity vocation of Primitivo grape bursts intense with hints of plums and cherries in jam, with hints of minerals and cinnamon. Impact of volume, but fine, rich and balanced with hints of berries and spice in the end.

Bodegas Monte Pío Albariño 2015: Fresh and intense. Mineral aftertaste, vibrant acidity and salinity that, along with the carbonic remains, make the wine fresh and young without being aggressive.

Pedroncelli ZinfandelVery fragrant nose of ripe raspberries and sweet black pepper followed by spicy, black fruit compote intensity on the palate. Structured, rounded and full in the mouth, this wine has a long, lingering finish laced with slight toasted oak undertones.

Charles Sparr Gewurztraminer Mambourg Grand Cru 2013: Rich, full bodied, lush, with refined tropical fruits on the nose; the palate reveals a wonderful intensity of flavours, round, fat with a long pleasant finish.

Ochoa Gran Reserva 2008: Elegant classic style of wine, round and complex, with a high level of tannins and the necessary time in barrel and bottle (minimum 5 years). Aromas of black fruits and hardwoods. Flavourful and potent, well structured, with a good balance of woody and ripe fruit notes.

Cuvée Amélie, AOC Picpoul de Pinet 2015: The fresh and crisp Cuvée Amélie offers white blossom and citrus notes on the nose and vibrant green apple on the palate. It is a fantastic partner for shellfish, seafood and vegetable based dishes.

Carla Chiaro Malbec Reserve 2010: Rich reserve level wine with green bramble and blackcurrant intensity with a long finish.
