Vinicola Serena was established over 130 years ago, set up by Pietro Serena, and is currently being run by 5th generation Gerardo Serena. The Serena family have a long Venetian history spanning the renaissance. The family moved out of Venice in 1881, establishing home in the heart of Treviso, where they began to develop their passion for wine.
Their vineyards are within the Treviso DOC and benefit from a great natural micro climate. Their Terra Serena wines are their prestigious sparkling line, created in 1998. The grapes (of the glera variety) are picked slightly early to preserve the acidity and then made into naturally sparkling wine through the Charmat method, protecting the delicate fruit flavours and allowing for a fine elegant mousse.
