The store stocks an unrivalled range of wines, Champagnes, spirits and craft beers, including our exclusively imported portfolio. Ranging from award winning wine producers such as Penley Estate, Idiom and Champagne Duval-Leroy to spirits brands including Spirit of Hven, Los Siete Misterios Mezcal and Bobby’s Gin.
Wine and spirit tasting sessions are frequently held in store, with a host of experts on hand to talk guests through a regular series of guided masterclasses.
Amathus Shoreditch is open seven days a week, with a click and collect service and free local delivery is available. For existing trade customers, account queries and for any other information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Meet The Team
Iban Abaurrea - Assistant Manager
Hi, I'm Iban!
My name is Iban Abaurrea, I am 34 years old from the Basque Country in Spain, and joined the Amathus family in January 2017. I come from a business administration background, nothing to do with wine and spirits, but at the age of 30 discovered what is my true passion. Since then on I have forged my expertise supporting wineries to internationalize, importing wines and meeting wineries in exhibitions all around the world. At the same time, I have profited from these experience and joined the WSET program, holding the Level 3 Degree and currently involved in the Diploma Course.
The thing I enjoy the most is to share my knowledge and build a wine and spirits awareness among our fellows. At the same time, I love food and wine pairing; explore the possibilities of new wine and food pairings, pair the unexpected and create new dining experiences.
Stefano Guarneri - Store Manager
Hi, I'm Stefano.
After graduating at the University of Viticulture & Oenology in Milan I have travelled a bit following the harvests in Napa Valley, Margaret River, Tuscany and Franciacorta. Moved by the wish of promoting rare wines I have started a Wine Bar with a kitchen together with a dear friend. Our business was a great success and within a few years I sold my shares to embark on a new journey that eventually took me to U.K.
In London I was attracted by the concept of a unique social enterprise restaurant that provides inspiration and training to help homeless people gain meaningful employment. During my time in Brigade I have moved up the ladder of hospitality, eventually becoming the Operations Manager. When my passion for wine & spirits started to chase me again, I have joined the Amathus family where I love taking care about our customers whilst discovering many interesting products.
Will Davis - Wine & Spirits Advisor
Hi, I'm Will and I've been part of the Amathus retail team since May 2017! I started my study of the wines and spirits world with the WSET in late 2012, and almost immediately I was fortunate to experience my first job in the industry in Dubai, where I was responsible for managing key spirits accounts in the UAE while also organising wine trainings and promotions in India. After a couple of years I returned to the UK and have been doing at Amathus what I love most: enthusing about our portfolio and educating customers as to what would be of interest to them.
The opportunity to discover the portfolio of exclusively imported, premium boutique spirits strongly attracted me to Amathus and I relish every chance I have to speak with the ambassadors of our agency brands. As far as wines go, what I most actively encourage customers to do is explore the art of successfully pairing what they will buy with food - it would be a shame not to see what more your wine can offer if you don't!
Rhys Bevan- Wine & Spirits Advisor
Hi, I'm Rhys, the newest member of the Amathus Shoreditch team. I began studying wine with the Association of Italian Sommeliers, and consequently started working as a sommelier at Galvin La Chapelle, a fine-dining French restaurant in Spitalfields. There, I completed my WSET Level 3 and subsequently came to Amathus, looking for a different perspective of the industry.
I love studying wine and am always poring through reference books and wine maps. I am also passionate about beer, always trying new styles - especially saisons and sours, and most of all barrel-aged beers.
I'm somewhat of a newcomer to spirits, but spend as much time as possible reading up on them - I'm especially interested in the technical side of distillation. In April I'm looking forward to starting my WSET diploma in wines & spirits.
