St Stefanus is an unpasteurised high fermentation beer that has been refermented in the bottle. It is brewed using three different yeasts, one of which is the Jermanus yeast strain from Sint Stefanus. This combined with the unique process, gives the beer its distinct flavour.
The artisan recipe takes three months to complete before cellar release, creating a smooth beer with a depth of flavour that cannot be duplicated by quicker, more modern methods. St Stefanus continues to mature and change with age for up to two years, allowing you to choose how you want your beer to taste.
St Stefanus aims to educate consumers at every touch point, helping communicate why the process of refermentation makes this beer so special.
