Carmenère
Carmenère is historically a blending variety from the Bordeaux region. It is now finding an identity elsewhere and it is now most widely planted in Chile. Best drunk young, Carmenère produces wines of a deep red colour, aromas of red fruits and spice and notes of dark chocolate, leather and tobacco on the palate.
