Grenache
Grenache is the world's most widely planted dark-skinned grape variety. In France it is usually blended with varieties such as Syrah and Mourvèdre providing the necessary colour and tannins lacking from Grenache. In Spain Grenache is widely planted and in Rioja it blends well with the more structured Tempranillo.
