Nebbiolo
Nebbiolo is a fairly fussy late ripening varietal and although grown all over Piedmont it only really stands a chance of ripening on the best sites. Nebbiolo produces wines high in acid, tannins and extremely rich in colour. It demands long ageing but can reward with complex taste profiles.
