The great value Roccapia Chianti DOCG is made by the Bartali family who have several estates in the heart of Chianti and have been winemakers in Tuscany for many generations. The main aim in the production of this wine is to retain the fruit character and charm, whilst remaining classic.
Production Technique: Harvest in the month of September, vinification with 2 daily pumpings over at a controlled temperature of 28°C. After racking and subsequent malolactic fermentation, the wine is kept on the lees for 1-2 months. Bottling 6 months after harvesting.
Tasting Note: "Red cherry and pepper spice on the nose, well intergrated tannin and fresh acidity, balanced by the intense cherry and redcurrant flavours that are fresh and vibrant."
