Château Haut-Mayne is the second wine of Château Caillou, one of the Grand Cru Classé estates in Sauternes. The region is famous world-wide for the sweets wines produced there.
The village of Barsac in the south of Bordeaux makes one of the best Sauternes thanks to its soil which is mainly composed of clay, limestone and stones. “Caillou” in French means “stone” which well reflects the importance of the soil in the estate’s history and how it is the essential element concerning the minerality of the wine.

Tasting Note: Apricot and sweet orange on the opulent nose, sweet luxurious floral and citrus on the palate with complex honey overtones. Great lemon acidity on the finish refreshes the palate and shows clearly the high quality of this exceptional sweet wine.
