Irish single malt & grain whiskies

Single Malt & Single Grain

Single grain whiskies are made differently from single malts. Traditional pot stills are used to distil single malts, while column stills are used to distil single grains. (or Coffey stills). Pot stills work batch by batch and are mainly used to produce flavorful products. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, made of charred white oak.
