An award winning range of products from the 200 year old Avadis Distillery, infused with wines from the 275 year old Zilliken winery; Ferdinand’s owes its name to the Prussian District Forester, Ferdinand Geltz, who also co-founded the VDP Mosel Saar Ruwer Zilliken estate, one of Germany’s finest vineyards. Home grown freshly harvested pear quinces grown right next to the distillery at Saar Dry Gin, go in to form the regional homage to traditional sloe gin: Ferdinand's Saar Quince Gin.
Master Distiller Andreas Vallendar combines carefully hand-picked Riesling grapes from the Zilliken estate and over 30 finely balanced botanicals from the vineyards and our own cultivation. Delicate rose-like florals emerge alongside the juicy, caramelised fruit tones of the quince. Refreshing, fruity, perfectly balanced and deliciously sweet!
