With 90 hectares of vines in various plots on the Côte d'Or and the Côte Chalonnaise, Château de Santenay is one of the largest properties in Grande Bourgogne. The diversity of these ‘climats’ enables the château to produce a wide variety of wines whose characters reveal the nuances of the Burgundy varietals.

While the nature of the soil is the deciding characteristic of a terroir, the role of the winegrower is a determining factor in the production of the wine: in the vineyard this is reflected in the choice and implementation of growing techniques, from pruning through to the harvest; and in the winery, in the vinification and maturing of the wines.

Grape Varieties: 100% Chardonnay

Tasting Notes: A bright and luminous robe with white gold reflects. Its nose is powerful, expressive with fresh touch of white flowers, citrus fruit and a delicate wooded note. The mouth is very fresh, lively and with a perfect balanced acidity. A subtle and elegant aromatic density. The balance is perfect with an aftertaste of delicious fresh fruits and hazelnuts. A superb wine with character. Elegant, straight, mineral, taut, expressive. A great aromatic complexity for a real pleasure.
