With 90 hectares of vines in various plots on the Côte d'Or and the Côte Chalonnaise, Château de Santenay is one of the largest properties in Grande Bourgogne. The diversity of these ‘climats’ enables the château to produce a wide variety of wines whose characters reveal the nuances of the Burgundy varietals.

While the nature of the soil is the deciding characteristic of a terroir, the role of the winegrower is a determining factor in the production of the wine: in the vineyard this is reflected in the choice and implementation of growing techniques, from pruning through to the harvest; and in the winery, in the vinification and maturing of the wines.

Grape Varieties: 100% Chardonnay

Farming Practices: Sustainable

Tasting Notes: A beautiful white gold color with golden brown reflects. The nose is delicate, intense with white flowers, pear, a touch of citrus fruit and fresh hazelnut. The mouth is full, fresh and complex. Minerality and tightness highlights the aromatic delicacy of this great Chardonnay. A balanced mouth with a beautiful acidity and a great richness. The final is long, mellowness and refined. A classy wine.
