"One of 39 names you can trust in California" - Wine Spectator
"By the early 2000s, Sta.Rita's great talent had become apparent" - Jon Bonne, The New California Wine
Founded in 1989, the Fess Parker winery is located in Santa Barbara County, the Californian wine region made famous by the cult movie Sideways.
Just 90 minutes north of LA, Santa Barbara County is one of California’s most diverse viticultural regions. Sta. Rita Hills, in particular, is arguably the most exciting wine region in the world for making cool climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir right now.
Starting out with a 5 acre experimental vineyard along the Foxen Canyon Road, over the years Fess Parker and his children, Eli and Ashley, acquired vineyards in the Santa Maria Valley, Sta. Rita Hills and Santa Ynez Valley.
Having just celebrated its 25th anniversary as a family-owned winery, Fess Parker continues to focus its efforts on producing small lot, high quality wines from Burgundian and Rhône varietals.
