Location: Tanaro River- Piedmont, Italy
Govone village is situated on the left bank of the Tanaro River, between Asti and Alba. The village community has formed a small co- operative that allows them to make larger volumes of classic wines from their local neighborhood specializing in Barbera.
The town of Asti is famed for producing this style of lightly sparkling, semi-sweet white wine from the Moscato (Muscat) grape. Located in Piedmont it could not be any more different from the region's other iconic wine - Barolo.
