With 90 hectares of vines in various plots on the Côte d'Or and the Côte Chalonnaise, Château de Santenay is one of the largest properties in Grande Bourgogne. The diversity of these ‘climats’ enables the château to produce a wide variety of wines whose characters reveal the nuances of the Burgundy varietals.

While the nature of the soil is the deciding characteristic of a terroir, the role of the winegrower is a determining factor in the production of the wine: in the vineyard this is reflected in the choice and implementation of growing techniques, from pruning through to the harvest; and in the winery, in the vinification and maturing of the wines.

Grape Varieties: 100% Pinot Noir

Farming Practices: Sustainable

Tasting Notes: Beautiful dark robe with beautiful garnet reflections and a beautiful depth. The nose is concentrated, powerful. A nice black fruit (blueberry) is married with a delicate woody. The palate is firm, full with beautiful elegant tannins. The fruit expresses itself magnificently and mixes with the salinity and the sap of the wine.

A treat of richness, elegance, complexity and character. A wonderful wine that is promised a bright future where it will develop all its subtlety.
