Noble Blason is inspired by the medieval culture of the South of France. In French, Blason is the word used for a coat of arms. Centuries ago, when the Romans ruled the Mediterranean, many Lords of the French nobility settled in the majestic castles found across the region area, attracted by its majestic castles. Today the tradition of the region of Gascony is food and wine and the most popular grape Colombard. This wine is made in once of the most advanced cellars of Southern France in the beautiful walled city of Carcassonne.
The landscapes of Gascony spread from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pyrenees, providing fascinating terroirs. Southern French sun kissed days promote the production of ripe grapes packed full of sunshine. On the other hand, the Atlantic brings chilly ocean breezes and cool nights which improves the lovely fruity aromas. Clay and sand soils store water during the rainy spring which is then released when the vines grow, enabling them to get through the dry summers.
The winemaking process is led carefully to respect at best the integrity of the berry and preserve the freshness of the delicate perfumes of the variety. The grapes first undergo a six hour skin-contact maceration, extracting as much of the precious flavour and aroma components as possible. After a gentle pressing, the fermentation is carried out at a cool temperature, enhancing the subtle fruit flavours. Finally, a three month smooth mouthfeel.
