Master distiller Desmond Payne created this version in 2008, seeking a modern, refined expression of Beefeater’s hometown. Alongside the traditional juniper, seeds and roots, he added an extra shot of zinging citrus and the delicate tannic notes from two types of tea – Japanese Sencha and Chinese Green tea. The result is smooth, elegant and refreshing and works beautifully in modern cocktails such as the Bramble.
