Established in 1978, Amathus Drinks Plc is a family owned drinks importer, distributor and specialist retailer.

Our mission is simple: to provide first class products and services to our customers in the on-trade, specialist retail and direct to consumers.

A position has become available in our Buying Team. Our award-winning product range is the heart of our business, and the successful candidate will have the chance to put their own stamp on an expanding craft-beer selection. The applicant must want a challenging, office-based job with opportunities to progress in the drinks industry.

We will support you to become a valued member of a hardworking, dynamic team, with set targets and the opportunity to beat them. You will become part of a larger, growing, premium drinks business. We encourage development and progression with funding to complete further training.

The Role

Stock Control – placing orders with a large vendor base to ensure continuity of supply, avoiding overstocks, and reducing losses from obsolete stock.

Develop strong supplier relationships to ensure best possible terms as well as secure promotional activity and advertising through Amathus publications.

Range selection – Source category leading products to expand the Amathus portfolio. Liaise with the sales team to secure new listings.

Engaging with warehouse, logistics, sales and marketing departments and supporting whenever necessary.

About You

Great communicator who enjoys working with multiple departments.

Very well organised and able to multi-task.

A problem solver and decision maker.

Experienced in supplier relationship management and negotiation.

Commercially minded with good analytical skills.

An interest or knowledge in Beer is advantageous as is existing knowledge of the drinks trade.
