Blair Athol 23yr Special Release 2017
- Buy 6 for £391.02 each
- Buy 12 for £383.04 each
This year’s release of Port Ellen is our seventeenth and equal oldest Port Ellen release ever in this series, and another wonderful 37 year old. From a distillery closed in 1983, Port Ellen is now vanishingly rare and highly sought after; it will be the most expensive Special Release ever.
A 34 year old 1982 is the sixteenth Brora release in this series. It shows elegance and restraint. Two younger malts join them this year: an 18 year old Glen Elgin showcases Speyside, whilst a 17 year old Teannich from the Northern Highlands is another malt that should be seen more often.
For those who like their Classic Malts to come from Islay, the unusual and rare unpeated cask strength Caol Ila, this year bottled at an oldest-yet 18 years old, and the distinctive 12 year old cask strength Lagavulin are equally excellent.
The tenth 2017 Special Release this year is a first ever blend for public sale entirely composed of fine single malt whiskies from all twenty-eight active Diageo distilleries. Exquisitely blended and named Collectivum XXVIII, it showcases the skills of our Master Distillers.
