Cartron has been a family business since 1882, with strong roots in the town of Nuits-Saint-Georges at the heart of Burgundy’s cru vineyards. The soil of this region has been producing high quality fruit for centuries, which for have been used in the production of Burgundy wines, or fruits to produce juices, liqueurs and fruit brandies.
Tasting Notes: The golden fruit flesh is both sweet and tart which gives the Quetsche Joseph Cartron a rustic flavour. Eau- de-vie with a long finish and a remarkable aromatic power, one litre of eau-de -vie of Quetsche Joseph Cartron requires 10 kg of fruit for its production.
Clear, crystalline colour and very shiny. Sustained viscosity. Tears are tight on the wall of glass. Aromas are subtle and dairy. Generous and warm aromas. The attack shows warm and generous. The texture is rich. Spicy notes provided by the heat of the product.
