Job Description
You will be responsible for managing the purchasing of our beer and soft drink category.
As well as managing the replenishment of fast moving every day beers and soft drinks required by our customers in the hospitality sector, you will be tasked to curate an eclectic selection of beverages to complement the high standards set by our wine and spirit portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities
Managing stock levels, orders and rotation to ensure that we have the freshest product always available to our customers in sufficient quantities as per the fast evolving demand to maximise sales and profitability of the category.
Negotiating best terms, exclusivities, regular promotions and marketing support to enhance distribution and sales across all channels including website and trade sales and retail.
Updating price files across all channels
Matching up POs and supplier invoices, advising discrepancies
Ensuring that the supporting junior administrator manages daily tasks to support the category buyer role such as answering incoming supplier calls, booking in deliveries, out of stock adjustments and sales teams and customer notification emails, end of day incoming delivery analysis and chasing of undelivered POs, printing off POs for our warehouse for the next day’s incoming goods, scanning documents/photographing products (Expired/Damaged). General warehouse runs (locating items, BBD checks etc). Weekly collation of empty keg numbers with warehouse ready for supplier collection, product data collection and maintenance.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be of a relevant degree qualified calibre, have a positive can-do attitude and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively. Somebody proactive who can cope with unpredictable volumes of work, busy periods, tight deadlines and a great work ethic.
This hands on role demands meticulous attention to detail and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Strong negotiation skills essential.
Applicant must reside comfortably within a 60 minute commute to Park Royal, London NW10 7ST
Previous management experience in a purchasing or similar administration role essential.
