A Gold Medal winner at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Don Julio 1942 Añejo Tequila was also named one of the Top Trending Tequilas at the 2020 Drinks International Awards. Produced in small batches and matured for at least two and a half years. This Tequila is named in honour of the year Don Julio González started creating tequila.

The La Primavera distillery was developed and established by Don Julio González in the Jalisco Highlands of Mexico in 1942, marking the beginning of his tequila-making journey. Strong work ethics, an audacious spirit of invention, and unwavering attention to workmanship have always served as pillars supporting Don Julio's passion.

A true innovator in the production of tequila from the field to bottle, Don Julio examined every step in depth with the aim of developing the greatest tequila possible. Enrique De Colsa, the current master distiller, and the entire staff at the La Primavera distillery gladly honour and carry on his tradition of passion, craftsmanship, and honesty.
