Foursquare 2008 Cask Strength Rum

Foursquare 2008 Exceptional Cask Selection - This is the Thirteenth edition in the Exceptional Cask series from Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados. Each edition has been a different blend of pot and column still rum from this amazing and revered distillery. Blended and selected by Foursquare Master Distiller, Richard Seale, these rums really show the true potential of tropical ageing. The 2008 is a blend of Rums of 12 years in age, from 1st, 2nd and 3rd fill ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 60% ABV. The nose is classic Foursquare: deep dark molasses, plenty of oak spice, raisins, prunes, toffee, caramel and plenty of vanilla. On the palate there is more fruit with tropical notes of pineapple and mango with a zesty touch of lime. Make no mistake this is a big rum, with a thick oily mouthfeel balancing out the high alcohol content. To be sipped neat with your best friends.
