Cheers! The 18th of August is International Pinot Noir Day so we thought we would select for you some of our favourites from our extensive range. It is one of the worlds most popular varites, adored for its aromas of red fruit, flowers, and sublte spices, which are emphasised by a classic lengthy, silky finish.


Blackenbrook Family Reserve Pinot Noir 2017 75cl

Blackenbrook Family Reserve Pinot Noir, from New Zealand's Nelson region, offers up stewed raspberry, wild cherry, mulberry and pepper.

 

Good breadth with impressive weight and ripe, grainy tannins.


Elk Cove Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 75cl

 

Elk Cove is one of Oregon’s oldest and most respected wineries. Wines have been made here since 1977 by the Campbell family.

 

Adam Campbell today works with his parents as the full time winemaker, keeping the business family owned and run.

 

The estate covers 80 ha in four distinct sites all in the prestigious Northern Willamette Valley.


Werner Annaberg Pinot Noir 75cl

 

From the cool Mosel Valley, this pale red German Pinot is crisp, vibrant and fruity.

 

The Werner winery is ranked amongst the oldest-established winegrowing estates near the Mosel river.


Parker Station Pinot Noir 75cl

 

Founded in 1989, the Fess Parker winery is located in Santa Barbara County, the Californian wine region made famous by the cult movie Sideways.


This incredible value Pinot Noir is from southern California is bursting with vibrant, perfumed red berry fruits and hint of sweet spice.


Sandro de Bruno Rosso Fumo Pinot Nero 75cl

 

Sandro de Bruno is a small quality focused winemaker, working organically.

 

This fascinating Pinot Noir is from 600m above sea level on organic soils, lending this ethereal, delicate red with hints of rosehip and cranberry, a tantalising hint of smoky minerals.


Domaine Collotte Marsannay Les Boivins 2018 75cl

 

Doussot-Rollet Côte de Beaune-Villages, from this tiny domaine, is a pale ruby Pinot Noir with notes of mulberry, pomegranate and a hint of game.

 

Tangy and poised, an elegant and moreish red Burgundy to drink now.


Berthier Sancerre Rouge 75cl

 

Clément and Florian Berthier are among the Loire's most talented young winemakers, making superb Pinot Noirs such as this Sancerre Rouge, with vibrant, stewed red fruits and a whisper of pepper.

 

Sancerre is known for its white wine production but as the climate changes it has displayed its capacity for outstanding Pinot Noir. The vines for this wine are planted in Sainte Gemme village on Burgundian clay-limestone soil.
