Kings County Single Malt Whiskey is made almost entirely like a single malt scotch, except that instead of being made in Scotland, it’s made in Brooklyn.
This single malt whiskey is made from malted barley from England and Scotland that has undergone an open fermentation process off the grain. The whiskey is twice distilled in traditional Scottish pot stills before being matured for at least three years in their own old bourbon barrels.
This whiskey required a greater bottling strength of 47 percent due to its higher post-cask strength than their American-style offerings, making it stronger than its flavour would imply. It is a dry, refined whiskey with peat, hay, honey, and burned orange peel flavours.
