Knight's Point Pinot Noir

The Southern Valleys of Marlborough are now firmly established as the premium Pinot Noir sub region, without question. Revered for its rich clay soils, cool nights and extremely warm days, the Southern Valleys are naturally formed north facing pockets of Pinot Noir perfection.

An early and even bud burst was followed by a warm spring and summer. Rainfall for this period was around average, so just enough to keep the vines and canopies healthy and green.

The early bud burst and warm summer meant that Pinot Noir was generally harvested at least 1 week earlier than normal. The quality was great, with the resulting wines being ripe, rich and complex.
