Clos St Denis is a Côte de Nuits Grand Cru. This wonderful rare, aged red Burgundy by leading French winery Louis Jadot shows an elegant spicy character along with minerality, ripe berries and refined tannins. Ready to drink now and over the next 5 years.
The Clos Saint Denis is a very old, south-east oriented vineyard, founded in 1203. The soil is clay and limestone together with iron and marl.
The wine is fermented 3 to 4 weeks in vats and then aged in oak barrels for 18 to 20 months.
This outstanding aged Burgundy red has refined power and concentration perfectly reflecting the terroir, along with intense and muscular flavors that deliver excellent length.
Delicious pairing for duck breast, christmas turkey and mild creamy cheeses.
