From the callars of leading French wine producer Louis Jadot, this Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2013 is a superb Red Burgundy which can be enjoyed now, or cellared for another decade. Fragrant dark fruit nose of ripe berries, on the palate silky texture with great depth and complexity.
The legendary appellation of Vougeot at the centre of the Côte de Nuits, the 50ha vineyard faces east. Louis Jadot is the second largest owner of the Clos Vougeot vineyard with just over 2ha.
The fermentation takes place in tanks for 3 to 4 weeks, followed by 18 months aging in barrique before bottling.
Elegant, savoury, berry fruit flavours that are excellent with roast game or ripe cheese such as camembert.
