Nostalgia Alvarinho 10 Barricas Vinho Verde
The wine is made by Francisco Baptista, who founded this project based on exploring the different terroirs of Vinho Verde in 2009.
The Vinho Verde region is based at the northern end of Portugal where the temperate climate is heavily influenced by the Atlantic. The local landscape is green and lush with many vines still trained on tradtional overhead trellises. This wine is made from a single vineyard of old vines grown on granite soil. Alvarinho is one of the predominant white grape varieties of the region.
It was fermented in 10 used French barriques to adds richness and ensure further development in bottle for many years.
