Founded in 1845, Bodegas Ochoa has gained a reputation for being one of Navarra’s most celebrated producers. Winemaker Adriana Ochoa is the sixth generation of her family to make wines in the region.
One of the oldest producers in Navarra, Bodegas Ochoa has also shown itself to be an innovator through the pioneering achievements of Javier Ochoa since the 1980’s.The father-daughter partnership continues to this day.
Only produced in years with outstanding quality, and the style and grape varieties proportions can change from year to year. The 2005 vintage of this wine is a coupage of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo aged in new French and American oak.
Grape Varieties: 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 10% Tempranillo.
Farming Practices: Practising Organic
Tasting Notes: Deep, complex aromas of ripe fruit with woody notes. Silky tannins, with an elegant and harmonious after-taste. Well-balanced.
