Pisco Qollqe is owned by Cecilia Ledesma and her husband Roberto Clark. Their love for pisco started more than 20 years ago when they first meet. Destilerías del Sur was founded in February of 2006 as a result of that, and also because of an understanding that the market was in need of a boutique pisco more like a great Cognac, Armagnac or Brandy of Jerez.
After a great deal of researching the best places to produce pisco, they settled for the Ica Province in Peru and started working closely with oenologist, Juan Mendiola and Edwin Landeo. Pisco Qollqe is an artisanal manufactured pisco and production is limited to the grape harvest from Ica land, using traditional grape harvesting methods, which gives good yields and quality.
Tasting Notes: Produced using only the highest quality fruit, this aromatic pisco comes from the Italia grape. Resting for 28 months prior to bottling results in a balanced and rounded spirit, which is soft and smooth on the palate.
