Tether Cabernet Sauvignon

Tether Napa Cabernet is made by the talented Anna Monticelli who has world-famous wineries such as Cheval Blanc and Bryant on her CV. Her day job is making highly rated and extremely premium single vineyard Cabernets for Pina Wines, however, this is her own project, made of fruit sourced from across the valley, with an emphasis on some of the higher altitude vineyards such as Spring Mountain and Atlas Peak. The Cabernet Sauvignon is joined by a little Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec and aged in 60% new French oak barrels

The wine bursts from the glass with abundant aromas of black currant liqueur, huckleberry compote and blueberry pie. The gorgeous dark fruit core is complemented by layers of volcanic rock, spring flowers, mocha, spice and well-integrated French oak. The wine possesses a rich texture that coats the palate in velvety tannins, sweet ripe fruit and elegant toasty oak.
