Macallan's rich, fruity, and full-bodied 'new make' spirit is transformed into a famous single malt when matured in Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. The growing spirit is left undisturbed in the same barrels for 18 years before being blended into this rich and complex single malt with notes of old wood, ginger, and raisin. Dried fruits and ginger on the scent, with touches of vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate spice, clove, citrus, and toasted aged wood notes are soft and rich.
