In Maori mythology, Tinirau is the ancient guardian, ancestor and friend of all fish. Stories about him and his pet whale are told throughout New Zealand and the Polynesian Islands, where he lived on the beautiful and sacred island of Motutapu.
Marlborough is recognised internationally for producing exquisite Sauvignon Blanc. Moderate temperatures, strong diurnal variation and good sun exposure are the key to producing fresh, crisp characterful Sauvignon Blanc.
The grapes were harvested early morning to retain freshness and then transferred to the winery for a cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with the aim of capturing the maximum purity of fruit.
Tasting Notes: This classic NZ Sauvignon Blanc is fresh, crisp and zesty with aromas of citrus and passion fruit, combined with intense flavours of lime and gooseberry.
