Cuvelier Los Andes Mendoza wines

The Cuvelier family’s wine exploits began in Bordeaux in 1903 with the purchase of Château le Crock in St. Estèphe. Today, they're best known as owners of 2nd Growth St. Julien star, Château Leoville Poyferré, bought in 1920. In the 1990s, they turned their attention to Mendoza in Argentina, working first with Michel Rolland on his Clos de la Siete project. By 1999, they had begun planting their own vineyards - Cuvelier los Andes - producing their first wine under this label in 2003, working with Michel Rolland. A glance at any of the Cuvelier los Andes labels will reveal their kinship with Leoville Poyferré and the quality of the wines reinforces that.

We are proud to represent this prestigious Franco-Argentine estate in the UK, bringing not only fine-quality Malbecs, such as Collección and Grand Malbec, but also Mendoza's unique style of Malbec blended with other Bordeaux varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, with the pinnacle being the Grand Vin, just as it would be in the Cuveliers' Bordeaux home.
