Blanc des Rosis was created by Mario Schiopetto in the 1980s, combining Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Bianco to brilliant effect. A silky, perfumed white of texture and complexity.
Mario Schiopetto founded his eponymous estate in the 1960s and pioneered many modern winemaking techniques in the region. That continues today as the estate makes some of the finest white wines being produced in Italy.
Blanc des Rosis is an unusual blend of Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Grigio that was originally created in 1986, and has been made ever since. A gorgeous floral, silky-textured white with the Sauvignon aromatic hidden under jasmine, honeysuckle, fresh almond, pear and mandarin. Lovely balance, freshness and elegance yet also with some weight.
