Alize shot to fame over thirty years ago, when its classily presented blend of premium French vodka, VS-quality Cognac, and ripe passionfruit sourced from Brazil and Ecuador took the world by storm, quickly becoming a celebrity favourite. Its most famous fan was legendary rapper Tupac Shakur, who sang approvingly of the combination of Alize and champagne in his song ‘Thug Passion’, but it has also graced the tables of a dizzying list of music luminaries – Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre and Jay-Z, among many others! Alize Gold Passion is now available at Amathus, for those wanting to bring Hollywood glamour to their lives. This is a seriously impressive liqueur, with care taken in sourcing the high-quality spirits that make up a large proportion of the blend, as well as the tropical passionfruit. 2Pac recommends this in ‘one part Alize, one part Cristal’ – but if your budget doesn’t quite stretch to Cristal, this will taste just as good mixed with a champagne such as Nicolo & Paradis Brut! Alternatively, savour this on the rocks, or stir into a classic margarita to give your cocktail a passionfruit kick.
