RENATA - STORE MANAGER 

Hi, I’m Renata, Store Manager at Amathus Muswell Hill. I’ve been living locally since 2022 and joined Amathus in April 2024.

I first fell in love with Amathus as a customer, drawn in by the incredible variety and selection. Now I’m proud to be part of the team.

I’m Brazilian with Italian heritage, and I grew up on a farm where my grandparents and great-grandparents made their own table wine. Our coffee came from our land, and most of our food was homegrown, so I’ve always had a close connection to what we eat and drink.

Before moving into the wine and spirits world, I worked as a Personal Travel Agent, leading Brazilian tour groups around the world. I always made a point of including visits to vineyards, breweries, and distilleries, whether in Japan, Australia, or anywhere else we travelled.

My passion for wine really took off in 2021 when I moved to London and started working at one of the city’s top Italian restaurants. There, a sommelier named Phill inspired me to study wine more seriously and deepen my knowledge. Following that, I made a career pivot and have been attending fairs, taking courses, and learning as much as I can about every product we sell in the shop.

Please do come by and say hello. On weekends, we usually have wines open for tasting, and for spirits lovers, we offer a fantastic selection. We’re here to help and support the Muswell Hill community and all of North London.
