Amathus Drinks is running its Bordeaux En Primeur Campaign this May – June 2024.
The best way to secure cases of the 2023 Bordeaux vintage, buying En Primeur lets you purchase wine before it’s bottled and sold on the open market. This gives you first access to the new wines and allows you to defer paying tax and duty until you wish to receive them.
Our Head of Wine Jeremy Lithgow MW was in Bordeaux in the last week of April sampling hundreds of wines from barrel. He reports the 2023 vintage is subtle and graceful, a classic Bordeaux vintage where the triumphs have been crafted by the winemakers getting the best from the vineyard and showing attention to detail in the cellar. There are a number of superb wines, but it is important to be selective. We’ll highlight the best ones for your cellar. With pricing anticipated to be 20-30% lower than last year, this marks a notable departure from the recent upward trend. This makes the Bordeaux En Primeur 2023 campaign an excellent opportunity to replenish or build your collection.
