Carramimbre, or ‘wicker path’ in ancient Spanish, is the name of one of the vineyards owned by Bodegas Pignon in the Ribera del Duero; situated at the bottom of a short hill, where an ancient castle still stands. Some of the vines here are as old as 50 years old.

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

Shipping charges are non-refundable. We advise you to obtain a postal receipt or send the items back via recorded delivery.

Description

The vineyards sit on the ‘Golden Mile’ of the Ribera del Duero (which is, in fact, 15km long) stretching along the Duero valley from the town of Peñafiel, down to Tudela de Duero. Here, the Bodegas rubs shoulders with many prestigious and iconic neighbours (Alion, Vega Sicilia etc)

Tasting Notes: A powerful taste, full-bodied, balanced with well-merged tannins and a great persistence wine. There are hints of toast, candies and raisins.
