Exclusive to Amathus, this is from a single barrel, Fût no. 63, of Château du Breuil Calvados du Pays d'Auge. With 20 years in oak, this is an exceptional Calvados, specially selected by us.
Château de Breuil has 42ha of orchards in the Pays d’Auge region, where the climatic conditions are perfect for growing apples for brandy.
Distillation over a naked flame and twenty years ageing in wood have resulted in this single cask of perfectly aged Calvados, which has been bottled at full strength, making it even more of a rarity.
It combines a beautiful baked apple crumble aroma with a fresh green apple flavour mingled with soft spice; it really opens up in the glass after 15 minutes or so, if you can manage to wait that long.
