Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Second Skin is the classic, pure Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs from this, the oldest Champagne house, but repackaged in an environmentally-friendly alternative to conventional gift boxes.

The bottled-shaped paper, 'second skin' case is fully recyclable and one-ninth the weight of its previous gift boxes, yet just as readily presentable as before.

The first established Champagne House. Founded in 1729. Chardonnay is the golden thread of the Ruinart Taste and aromatic freshness of the wines. Les Crayères: ageing of the wines in chalk cellars offering the triple benefit of - a constantly stable temperature, - the complete absence of vibration and a perfect humidity level, - providing ideal conditions for the fermentation and maturation of the Ruinart wines.

About the Producer

Ruinart is a prestigious Champagne house with a rich history dating back to 1729, making it one of the oldest Champagne producers in the world. Founded by Nicolas Ruinart in the city of Reims, France, Ruinart specialises in producing elegant and refined Champagnes, particularly known for their Blanc de Blancs made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. The house combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative techniques to create sparkling wines that embody finesse, complexity, and the distinctive terroir of the Champagne region. Ruinart Champagnes are celebrated globally for their exceptional quality and timeless elegance.

Tasting Notes

Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Second Skin offers a sublime tasting experience, showcasing the essence of Chardonnay from the Champagne region. Delicate aromas of white flowers, citrus blossoms, and a hint of freshly baked bread greet the nose. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious blend of crisp acidity and creamy texture, with flavours of ripe pear, lemon zest, and a touch of minerality. The finish is long and refreshing, leaving a lingering impression of elegance and finesse.

How To Enjoy

Pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes. It complements seafood such as oysters, scallops, and sushi due to its crisp acidity and delicate flavours. The Champagne also enhances creamy cheeses like Brie or Camembert, offering a refreshing contrast. For a delightful contrast, try it with light salads dressed with vinaigrette or citrus-based sauces.

Serve chilled but not too cold, ideally between 8-10°C (46-50°F), to fully appreciate its aromas and flavours. Use a flute or tulip-shaped glass to concentrate the bubbles and aromas.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

Excludes perishable or personalised products or those products that have been specified as non-returnable.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.
