Description

Bloem is the everyday entry level range of wines from Noble Hill, which is a South African winery located on the granite soiled slopes of the Simonsberg mountain range which divides Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. This distinctive geology and the extra elevation gives the wines from this sector great balance and finesse, with several of the country’s best wineries are located around the base of this mountain.

The Cape Floral Kingdom is the smallest and most biodiverse of the world's six floral kingdoms. Bloem wines, (pronounced ""bloom"" for the local word for ""flower"") capture the essence of this unique ecosystem with refreshing fruit aromas and a hint of exotic spice.

Harvard educated Zimbabwean Kristopher Tillery returned to the family winery around 10 years ago after spending several years in the USA and began moving production towards a more contemporary and organic path. The estate is now under conversion to full organic and Kristopher has started working with wild yeasts and concrete fermentation vessels in order to impart greater character and individuality to the wines. In the medium term the aim is to move is away from his family’s previous focus on single -varietal Cabernet and Merlot, and work with largely Rhone influenced blends which he feels best express the local terroir, alongside his very successful take on South Africa’s signature white grape Chenin Blanc. This winery is on an upward curve of quality, producing wines which offer great personality and value under both their Bloem and Noble Hill labels.

92 % Syrah and 8% Mourvèdre. These grapes are natural partners, having grown together for hundreds of years. This wine is picked early to retain fresh aromas and fermented in stainless steel and concrete tanks. It is matured for 9 months after fermentation in oak barrels and concrete tanks.

In this blend, black currant and cherry fruit aromas are balanced with exotic spice and earthy undertones. The wine is smooth with a dry, lingering finish. A perfect wine to drink with barbequed meats.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.
