Boatyard Double Gin comes from the first legal distillery in County Fermanagh, which has been around for well over a century! Distilled from organically grown wheat and macerated for 18 hours, this is a classic juniper-forward gin with coriander, liquorice, and angelica—perfect in a classic G&T or Negroni.

The Boatyard Distillery is best reached by water – it is nestled on the windswept shores of County Fermanagh’s Lough Erne, around a fifteen-minute drive from Enniskillen. Boatyard’s story begins with local lad Joe McGirr, who spent years in Edinburgh’s drinks industry before returning to his home county with the intention of producing a world-class cocktail gin. The result is Boatyard Double Gin, so called because juniper is infused into the spirit at two different points during the gin-making process. This gives the gin its incredibly fresh, punchy character, along with the use of far more coriander than most comparable spirits, meaning it will stand up to any cocktail.
Among the distiller’s recommended serves is in a Tuxedo. Stir together Boatyard Double Gin, Dolin dry vermouth, Bitter Truth orange bitters, a dash of Jade Nouvelle Orleans absinthe, and Mascharino cherry liqueur with ice, before straining into a martini glass and garnishing with a lemon peel twist. Drink not only with hedonism, but with a clean conscience – the Boatyard Distillery is proudly certified as a B Corp in recognition of its commitments to the environment and the local community.
