Bodega Bodega & Viñedos Santos J. Carelli S.A. has been family-owned since 1943 and is situated in Rivadavia, Mendoza, Argentina. The Latitud 34° label reflects the vineyard’s position around the 34° S latitude, where altitude, intense sunlight and cool nights combine to produce healthy, fully-ripe grapes. The estate’s Mendoza vineyards benefit from a dry climate, deep alluvial soils and excellent drainage, conditions that are well-suited to the Malbec grape. Grapes for this wine are hand-harvested and sorted by hand to ensure only clean, ripe fruit enters the winery. This wine is crafted from 100% Malbec and is matured with careful attention to preserve fresh fruit character.
Fermentation and handling allow the expression of variety and terroir, with notes of ripe plums, cherries and red/black fruits dominating the nose. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied with soft, fine-grained tannins and a fruity finish. An easy-to-drink red wine suited for both everyday enjoyment and food pairing.
Ideal alongside grilled red meats, BBQ ribs, rich stews or aged hard cheeses; the fruit richness and soft tannins make it a strong partner for hearty, well-seasoned dishes.
