Description

Created by the Count de Kermartin in the mid-19th century, Château Garraud appears in the 1865 edition of Le Féret, the colloquial name of the classic Bordeaux wine directory. In 1939, it was acquired by Léon Nony, who restored and extended it. After his death in 1959, his son, Michel, then his grandson, Jean-Marc, continued his work.

In the 1990’s, the vat room and cellars were completely renovated to incorporate new techniques and the latest thinking in terms of vinification and ageing, while preserving traditional know-how.

Grape Varieties: 94% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting Note: Plenty of red fruit flavours balanced well by the oak. The firm tannins give the wine a classic backbone, supporting a complex palate and long finish.

Awards: 15/20 Decanter : Good depth of fruit. Well structured and fresh. - GB, April 2012.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.
