Created in 1979 by Maurice Fillioux, the sixth Master Blender, Hennessy Paradis was conceived as an ode to symphonic music and sensuality. He compared the blend to ‘a symphonic orchestra’, as “classical music that takes you away and connects with your emotions.”

For Filloux, the number of instruments in an orchestra is not necessarily a measure of its success, but rather the purity of sound it creates and the virtuosity of the conductor. The same is true for Hennessy Paradis, a union of exceptional eaux-de-vie, each selected for its individual qualities and ability to work in perfect harmony with the others — a cognac of poise, balance, and grace.

Born in the Paradis Cellars

The name Paradis carries deep significance for Hennessy. It pays homage to the historic Paradis Cellars in Cognac, France, where some of House’s oldest and most precious eaux-de-vie patiently mature in oak barrels – some dating as far back as 1774. Out of one of the largest collections of eaux-de-vie in the world, only a very small number are chosen. Selected for their character and immense potential, these eaux-de-vie have been carefully looked after by 8 generations of Master Blenders and secretly shared with the angels year after year. Each year, these barrels lose a small portion of liquid — the “angels’ share.” This gentle, natural phenomenon slowly transforms the character of the eaux-de-vie, enriching them with softness, roundness, and exceptional depth.

When the time is right, these eaux-de-vie are hand-selected by the Hennessy Master Blender to become part of the composition of Hennessy Paradis. The result is a unique tasting experience, the most harmonious blend for pleasure that transports you to paradise!

Every drop of Hennessy Paradis reveals the precision, patience, and artistry that define it.

COLOR - The eaux-de-vie have been aged only in very old barrels, thus giving Hennessy Paradis its amber gold colour and hues.

NOSE- On the nose, it exudes floral notes and jasmine, underpinned by delicate notes of cinnamon and exotic fruit.

PALATE - The palate is graceful and silky in texture. Each sip runs all the way through to a flavourful and deep, persistent finish.

Crafted in the Spirit of Music and Harmony

Maurice Fillioux took this quest for excellence much further than his predecessors, using music as a creative starting point. A great lover of classical music and a musician himself, he translated the superior quality of rare cognac into a harmony - a “flawless composition” in the musical sense.

‘I feel myself like a conductor,’ Maurice said. ‘It is like a symphonic orchestra. Classical music takes you away and connects with your emotion”. His masterpiece, Hennessy PARADIS, embodies harmony - a subtle composition made of a hundred different eaux-de-vie, which come together to reach the Sublime. “PARADIS is an ode to hedonism, strains of harmonious music formed by the notes of several instruments. Spicy, floral, heady, in turn, we are won over with one sip and transported to the highest realms of emotion”. In a celebration of blissful moments, Alicia Keys and Lang Lang — two artists united by their shared passion for music — came together to explore the spirit of Hennessy Paradis.

For the first time, they travelled to Cognac, France, where it all began. They journeyed through Hennessy’s most emblematic places to discover the craftsmanship behind this rare cognac. Their collaboration culminated in a unique moment of creative expression, joining forces to create music amid the awe-inspiring landscapes of Utah. There, surrounded by nature’s vastness, they reflected the emotional connection that Hennessy Paradis inspires — a sense of bliss, harmony, and timeless beauty.
