Bursting with aromas of spiced golden apple, candied ginger, and wild herbs, it is soft yet vibrant on the palate, alive with zesty citrus, green fruits, and a stony finish. Crisp, clean, and irresistibly drinkable—like sipping from a Styrian Mountain stream. Perfect with roast chicken, herbed sausages, potato dumplings, or a simple mushroom risotto.

A vibrant blend of Welschriesling (60%), Silvaner (20%), and Sauvignon Blanc (20%), Bistrica is a true reflection of Ritoznoj’s hillside terroir and village winemaking heritage. Grown on marl-rich soils with southern exposure at 360 meters, the vineyards thrive in a continental climate, where hot, dry summers and snowy winters shape the grapes’ character.
Farmed sustainably without herbicides or irrigation, each varietal is vinified with care—Silvaner undergoes skin fermentation in open-top fermenters for 16 days, while Welschriesling and Sauvignon ferment spontaneously in stainless steel. The final blend is aged 65% in inox and 35% in neutral oak for eight months, preserving freshness while adding subtle complexity.
The wine opens with warm aromas of spiced golden apples, candied ginger, and wild meadow herbs. On the palate, it is lifted and textured, bursting with citrus—Meyer lemon, key lime—and crisp yellow and green fruits, finishing with a clean mineral edge.
Engaging and easy-going, Bistrica is as refreshing as the mountain streams it is named after. Ideal with roast chicken, herbed pork, vegetable tarts, or creamy alpine cheeses.
